Western Telephone Center Relocation, Los Angeles, CA

Due to a tenant improvement project the USCIS needed to temporarily relocate their 100-agent western call center to make way for the construction activities.   Netsol was contracted by the agency to head all internal and external resources and plan and manage the execution of the project.

The first task was to identify the connectivity, interconnectivity, power, cooling and space requirements for all equipment.  This information was fed to the Netsol design team where a server room space and office space was developed to suffice all the requirements.  Secondly was to engage all vendors – LEC cloud, LEC local exchange, recording equipment vendors, telephone switch vendor, network equipment vendors, cabling vendors, and the move vendor.   After understanding the roles and inter-workings of the vendors a minute-to-minute cut script was developed to orchestrate the relocation.  The USCIS executive office had planned for a four day shut-down of the western telephone center, but due our strict project management methodologies Netsol was able to shut down, relocate the call center, perform all tests and have agents taking calls within 8 hours.
